Red

Shiraz 2005: $22

The 2005 Shiraz, is another of the exclusively hand picked and estate grown vintages. It is a full bodied wine, yet displays all the finesse of cool climate reds. Well developed fruit with intense yet delicately balanced characteristics has resulted in a wine that is rich in berry flavours, fine tannins and a long finish. Imbibe now in moderation, or benefit from good cellaring up to ten years.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2005: $22

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has benefited from another excellent season where the fruit was able to develop over a long consistent period. The resulting wine displays intense yet balanced characteristics, producing a full bodied wine while showing a delightful currant, cherry and cedar nose.

Pronounced ripeness, soft tannins and a nice touch of acidity result in a great palate. Imbibe now in moderation, or cellar well for up to ten years.

Merlot 2005: $22

The 2005 Merlot is another outstanding example of this wonderful wine variety. The third of our hand picked vintages, with fruit sourced exclusively from Taemus Vineyard, the wine is softly textured and highly flavoured. The wine features supple silky tannins coupled with plenty of raspberry, plum and fruitcake flavours.

Barrel fermented exclusively in new French oak, the hints of chocolate cedar and black Olives add complexity, while the fresh acid finish completes this very well balanced wine. Imbibe now in moderation, or cellar well for six-seven years.

White

Reisling 2009: $18

Typical of a Reisling from the Canberra Cool Climate District the Granitevale 2009 Reisling has a wonderful Floral nose with great loime and lemon characteristics across the pallet. It is an very well balanced wine with a good clean crisp finish. Is drinking extremely well as a young wine and will also age with extraordinary grace.

Sauvignon Blanc 2008: $18

The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is another fine light-medium bodied wine developed from purely Estate grown fruit.

Light Straw in colour, this subtle wine has a mild herbaceous nose, enhanced with a hint of capsicum, green bean and tomato leaf. These are characteristics typical of the Canberra Region. The pallet displaying hints of asparagus and gooseberry lingers through a well weighted middle pallet to a crisp finish providing excellent balance. Imbibe in moderation.

Sparkling

Sparkling Shiraz 2006: $30

The 2006 Sparkling Shiraz, the second vintage for Geystones Estate, offers a rich and luscious combination of aromas and flavours including plum pudding, blackberry, licorice dark cherries and a little spice. The complimentary mouthfeel dominated by earthy, chocolate and smoky flavours, results from time on lees providing additional complexity and palate texture. This full flavoured and complex wine epitomises the classic taste of Australian Sparkling Shiraz from a cool climate district. Imbibe now in moderation, or benefit from good cellaring up to ten years.

Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc 2008: $25

Granitevale Estate continues this point of difference with the spectacular 2008 Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc. We are extremely proud of this full bodied sparkling wine. Produced from our premium hand picked fruit a fabulous combination of the typical grassy, gooseberry and a hint of tropical fruit characters result in a great nose. The varietal characters continue onto the palate, where a well developed middle palate and a fresh crisp finish are enormously enhanced by the finesse of the sparkling wine process. The result is a wonderfully entertaining wine. Enjoy.
